Latino Policy Day


On February 4th, Connecticut’s Latino and Puerto Rican Affairs Commission and the Hispanic Federation will jointly host the state’s first Latino Policy Day at the state Capitol. This will be an all-day event with six sessions highlighting policy issues of importance to all state residents and to the Latino population in particular. Topics will include ending political gerrymandering, reforming the for-profit bail bond system, improving education outcomes for English Language Learners, fixing K-12 education finance, remediating hyper segregated housing, as well as expanding education on reproductive health and dental care.
