Food Insecurity Report and ALICE

Thank you for those who attended our May 2015 meeting.

We had two important presentations, both on economic factors surrounding Middletown families.

1) Ed Bonilla from the Middlesex United Way shared the United Way's ALICE report, which lays out the economic conditions for Middletown Families. This is a very interesting document and really shows what is needed for a family to be financially secure in Middletown.

2) The Coalition's Wesleyan Research Team presented the 2015 Middletown Food Insecurity Survey results. The information gathered is alarming and important.
